VP Pedagogy – Zohar Ginosar

Zohar Ginosar, Vice President of Pedagogy of the Real School since 2018,
Born in Haifa, a graduate of the Reali School,  married, and the father of two sons.

A graduate of the Israeli Naval Officer’s course, he has held operational command positions at sea, in Naval Officer’s training, A former Chief Instructor of the Navy and at the IDF General Staff, Head of an International Strategic Coordination Administration, Chief of Staff of the IDF Operations Division, Founder of the International Students’ Division and Instructor at the Israeli National Defense College.

Since 2006, at the end of his service in the IDF, he has served as a senior consultant in strategy design processes, initiating and accompanying national transformation processes in the fields of education, innovation, leadership, and initiating and accompanying projects and social development processes with organizations and government agencies in Israel and around the world.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in Human Services (psychology, sociology, and anthropology) and a master’s degree in Business Administration – from the University of Haifa. He is also of Graduate of advanced training programs in the fields of strategy and leadership in the IDF and at the NATO College in Rome.

Professional career:

  • Graduate of a seamanship course, commander of the “Devor” ship, instructor in a seamanship course.
    Consultant for the development of operating theory and training systems for a government body in Singapore.
  • Financial consulting in “Pioneer International” Representation of foreign investment institutions and management of foreign exchange investment portfolios in international markets.
  • Partner in the development of the “Plasma” program as part of a master’s degree in industrial design, and a lecturer in the fields of creative thinking with a master’s degree at the Bezalel Academy.
  • Return to service in the IDF:
    Commander of the first phase of the seamen’s course, the chief instructor of the Navy’s training base.
  • Head of the International Strategic Coordination Administration in the Foreign Relations Division at General Headquarters.
  • Established the headquarters of the IDF Operations Division, and the Chief of Staff – a partner in the development and accompaniment of strategic processes at the IDF General Staff.
  • Founded the International Students Division at the National Security College, and the International Students Guide at the College.
  • 2006 – Retirement from the IDF with the rank of Navy Commander:
    • Adviser and leader in the development of concepts and national strategic plans with governments and government bodies in South America, Europe, and Asia, and with the Prime Minister’s Office in Israel.
    • Member of the international Think-Tank “Penza Perception Lab” – and partner in the development of methodologies, strategic thinking processes, and national projects in the fields of innovation and education in Israel and around the world.
    • Strategic development and support for national change processes and social development in the “Living Together” project for coexistence in the State of Israel, and in the project of establishing Healthcare Israel – a body for international cooperation between the Israeli health system and foreign countries.
    • Development of educational concepts, consulting, and accompaniment of the R&D department in the Ministry of Education in the establishment of national initiatives for innovation in education and the development of pedagogical models for teaching, learning, and assessment in partnership with diverse schools in Israel and around the world.

Today – Zohar Ginosar is the Vice President of Pedagogy of the Hebrew Real School in Haifa.
